We have been members of St. Aloysius parish family since 1984 when we moved here from Hong Kong. During these 22 years we have enjoyed the richness of the spiritual and parish community life. Our son, Mark, and daughter, Christy, participated in Emmaus. They asked us to become involved and thus began one of our most rewarding family experiences. We grew spiritually as individuals and as a family. The people we met and worked with on the teams are our closest friends today. My husband, Jerry, can often be seen, guitar in hand, with the teen choir at 5 PM Mass on Sunday. I have had the privilege of serving as a Eucharistic Minister both at Mass and at Waveny Care Center. This is my second time serving as an elected member of the Parish Council and as Secretary. Membership in Our Lady’s Guild has afforded the opportunity to learn more about Our Blessed Mother and increase devotion to her. We participated in bringing the statue of the Pilgrim Virgin back from Fatima with hope of increasing knowledge of Our Lady to parish families and increasing devotion to her through the recitation of the rosary as a family. My community volunteer activities have included the United Way of New Canaan, New Canaan CARES and the Volunteer Center.
Participation in many of the activities offered at St. Aloysius has enriched our lives. If you are not currently active in one of the many parish groups, please consider it. We look forward to meeting and working with you.
