CHRISTMAS STAR PROGRAM
– Every year a Star Tree is placed in Church. On the stars are the names, ages and sexes of a family in need of assistance, especially at Christmas time. A parish family takes a star and buys gifts for the star family. Gifts should not be toys, but rather clothing and others items of necessity. The gift boxes are then taken to Bridgeport, CT and Bronx, NY for distribution to the families. Volunteers are always needed to deliver the gifts.

LITTLE HOUSE
– can be found on Church property, at the edge of the parking lot. Clothes and shoes in good condition are accepted for distribution to the needy in Fairfield County. The House is always open for donations except when it is too full and waiting to be emptied. Drivers to distribution points are often needed during the year, as are sorters and packers.

WAVENY SENIOR CARE CENTER
– Many of our parishioners volunteer their time at the Center. They read, they feed, they talk to and just spend time with the seniors. Every first Wednesday of the month, a priest from St. Aloysius celebrates Mass at the Center. Volunteers also help to prepare meals one month a year and for special occasions. Seniors receive Communion every Sunday from St. Aloysius Eucharistic Ministers.
