
CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA
– seek an increased awareness of their Christian obligations through a wide variety of functions and activities. They make baptismal bibs, sponsor an art/poetry contest, offer a scholarship and do fundraising for St. Agnes Home for Unwed Mothers. This group meets the first Thursday of the month (September-June) at 7:30 PM in Stapleton Hall.

DIVORCED AND SEPARATED SUPPORT GROUP
– hold topical discussions, social and spiritual support, in a Catholic context.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
– promotes charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism among men who are ardent supporters of the Catholic Church. They sponsor a Communion Breakfast, a Pasta Family Dinner, a scholarship fund and other events throughout the year. They are present at various Church events and special liturgies. The Knights meet the first Monday of the month, 8:00 PM, in Stapleton Hall.

MARIAN PRAYER CENACLE
– meets every Monday evening in the Chapel from 7:45 to 8:45 PM to pray the Rosary.

“NEW DAY” BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
– is a nine-week program offered twice a year. After experiencing the loss of a loved one, do you find yourself asking questions that are difficult to answer? Anyone bearing the recent or past loss of a loved one will learn the grief process. Watch the bulletin for dates.

OUR LADY’S GUILD
– encourages special devotion to the Blessed Mother, Mary, through daily recitation of the Rosary. It also conducts social and spiritual events during the year. The Guild meets throughout the year (September-June) and all events are posted in the Bulletin. They may also be involved in various parish activities and liturgies. All women of the parish, by virtue of their membership in St. Aloysius Church, are automatically considered members of the Guild.

PILGRIM VIRGIN
– sponsored by Our Lady’s Guild, this statue of Our Lady of Lourdes travels from home to home in the parish, spending three days at a time with any family that wants to participate.

ROSARY MAKING
– is a group of parishioners who, on a regular basis, make Rosaries from special kits. The finished Rosaries are donated to prisons, military, and missions throughout the world. Instruction in how to make Rosaries and information on obtaining supplies is available.

SAINT ALOYSIUS WOMEN’S LEAGUE
– is an organization of women within the parish coming together in a social setting to promote: a sense of community; a continuing education in Catholicism; cohesiveness & faith within the parish community; and address current issues that challenge families in St. Aloysius parish.
The Women’s League, which is a newly formed group since September 2004, meets throughout the year (September-June). All events are posted in the bulletin. Some of the events are bi-monthly coffees at parishioner’s homes, Birthday Party for Jesus, brunch for the parish, a Sunshine Group (takes meals to those families in need), and an end of the season lunch. Some of the current committees are: Newcomers Welcoming Committee, Social Concerns Group, & Parenting Book Group.

SATURDAY MORNING MEN’S BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
– fellowship-centered this event includes a light breakfast (1/2 hour); prayer and sharing (1/4 hour); Bible study using “Little Rock Scripture Study Guide Series (1 hour). All materials provided; no homework except reading and reflecting on the assignment the week prior to the meeting. The meeting is every Saturday morning in Stapleton Hall, following 7:00 AM Mass, concluding by 9:30 AM.

WOMEN’S BOOK CLUB
– is an informal gathering of women of all ages who generally meet on the 2nd Friday of the month from 1:00 – 2:30 PM (but watch the bulletin for exact dates). We share our thoughts and feelings on good Catholic books and enjoy each other’s fellowship. It is an excellent opportunity to grow in our faith.
